My Highlights of This Hotel
✨ Industrial/retro room design
✨ Great location!
✨ Comfy bed
My Review
I felt right at home in my Corner King Suite at The Anndore House.
The design was luxury-industrial with a retro twist, and they obviously put a lot of thought into the overall feel of the suites.
The style was relaxed with pops of color and fun art. Features like my in-room record player and coffee table books made the hotel feel welcoming, rather than stuffy. Yet, it still has a distinctly luxurious feel.
The staff was all lovely, as well. I arrived at almost 5 o’clock in the morning after a flight delay, and the front desk attendant greeted me with a smile and was very accommodating.
I also had fabulous sleeps here all three nights I slept in the king-sized bed. The bed was perfectly soft-but-firm, and I didn’t wake up with an aching back like I often do while I travel.
I also really liked that both sides of the bed had light switches for the entire room – I didn’t have to get out of bed to turn the lights on or off!
The room was a bit noisy (it’s located in a busy neighborhood, after all), but the hotel provided complimentary earplugs, and honestly, I slept fine. And I’m a light sleeper!
I think the biggest “con” of this hotel is that there’s no onsite gym, which could be a deal breaker if you’re a regular gym goer. However, they have a partnership with Goodlife and you can request daily passes. The nearest Goodlife is just a 7-minute walk away.
Overall, I’d recommend The Anndore House. This is a stylish hotel that is a great value for the area. It’s safe, fun, & I’d absolutely stay here again.

About the Location
The Anndore House is located at 15 Charles Street East at the intersection of Charles and Yonge.
The hotel straddles the neighborhoods of Yorkville and The Church-Wellesley Village, and is just steps from the TTC Subway Station.
The area is also very safe. As a solo female, I felt perfectly safe walking around at night, and going to and from the subway station. There was always another person around.
It’s a great location if you’re going to see a show, but also want to be within distance of some of Toronto’s best sites. It’s not far from the Eaton Center, Massey Hall, Yorkville shopping, and Yonge & Dundas.
I love this location because it’s so central. During my stay, I was able to visit my friends in the West End and my aunt in the East without any major transit times.
